Freelance Project: Stroller - Initial Prototype
I was introduced to this client at the beginning stages of their new stroller company, with a flagship product slated to feature an innovative braking system. They had worked with a design engineer to get an initial version of their stroller concept modeled in CAD, but were looking for a local fabricator to produce the first prototype. I managed the production of all components, fabricated many of them myself, and assembled this first article. I collaborated with the design engineer to overcome constructability issues and provided feedback to inform changes for their next iteration. The scope of work for this proof of concept did not include the soft goods, as the stroller structure and braking system needed further development before addressing the fabric component attachments. This product is still in development, hence the client’s anonymity.
